Nationalizing Insurance for Hurricanes
Just the folks I thought would be behind a socialistic maneuver: “As hurricane season begins, Democrats in Congress want to nationalize a chunk of the insurance business that covers major storm-damage claims.” This proposal is based on the idea that the 50 state’s taxpayers would fund a reinsurance program, effectively taking on some of the risk that private companies normally would do.
