ON THE NATION’S BIRTHDAY
THE BIG DAY Upon being reminded that today was America’s birthday, my six-year old nephew thought about it for a moment, and popped out a question that most adults forget to ask, “How old is America today, Uncle Michael?” It made me do some verbal tap-dancing, while I did some quick math in my head to give him the answer, “212 years old, Neal”.
